Just found them tonight
- My 5 year old and 3 year old were getting out of the pool tonight when I noticed something moving in the 3 year old's hair. I looked closer and saw that his head was covered in them, as was his brother's. Once I saw the bugs, I noticed both boys scratching their heads constantly but I hadn't paid any attention to it before. We did the shampoo and combed tonight which was no fun. I think I may shave their heads tomorrow just to make it easier to make sure they stay clear for the next few weeks. Yippee.

- They are a pest on the head, but don't try alcohol or a dog shampoo. An anti-lice shampoo should work well.

Kind of Embarrassed
- My daughter was 'diagnosed' at a sleepover with some friends from school. This mom was very cool about it, as she had been through the head lice thing before and knew it was going around. She made up an excuse for why I needed to pick my daughter up so the other girls would suspect anything, told me what shampoo to buy, and had her come back for a sleepover the next night. I guess it could of ended up being a much more embarrassing situation than it was.
