Felt Mountain Bicycles

CPSC
Felt Bicycles, of Lake Forest, Calif. is recalling about 700 Felt Mountain Bicylces because 'the steel brake boss can detach from the frame, causing the rider to lose control and fall.'

According to the CPSC press release, 'this recall involves all model year 2005 and 2006 Kinesis made RXC bicycles. The frames on these bicycles are made with carbon fiber rear seat stays and are equipped with V-style brakes, and not equipped with disk brakes from the factory. Frames affected by this recall were shipped to dealers between October 2004 and April 2006.'

Although no injuries have been reported yet, consumers should stop using these bicycles and contact their local Felt bicycle dealer for a free inspection and a repair.
