Did He Take His Medicine Today?

A Wild Child

A Wild Child

Maartje van Caspel
Fortunately, with many kids taking once a day medicines for ADHD, they often don't have to even tell their school, teachers, or anyone else that they are even taking a medicine, such as Adderall XR, Concerta, or Strattera.

If your teachers, coaches or anyone else does know though, they shouldn't make comments like, 'did you take your medicine today?' if your child is having a bad day. Doing so is likely to make your child link his doing well with the effects of the medicine and not his own effort and achievement.
