We are finally getting some good news about this year's flu season.
The CDC reports that flu activity is "decreasing nationally."
Unfortunately, they also report that flu activity "remains elevated overall" and there have been an additional 14 pediatric flu deaths.
Still, with only 38 states now reporting widespread flu activity, that hopefully means that the worst is behind us and that we will continue to see declining numbers over the next few weeks and months.
Keep in mind that even as flu activity declines, it doesn't just abruptly end. We will likely continue to see flu activity through the end of flu season, and perhaps into April or May. That can make it a good idea to get a flu vaccine if you haven't yet.
