But even if dark chocolate does have a beneficial medical effect, there is no research to show that you would get the same benefit from the small amount of chocolate that might be in a chocolate tea.
On the other hand, chocolate tea is going to contain caffeine, which younger children don't need. Caffeine can cause younger children to be fussy and have sleep problems.
So even if you believe that chocolate tea might have some health benefits, they likely don't outweigh the possible side effects that the chocolate tea might have.
And also remember that just because something is natural or herbal, that doesn't mean that it is safe. Many alternative medicine advocates found that out the hard way recently, when several infants developed neurological problems, including seizures, jitteriness, and irritability, after being given star anise tea for colic.
