Definition:

Flu season is when you are most likely to get infected with the influenza virus each year. Flu season can begin as early as October and run into May, but December to March are usually the peak flu season months for a typical flu season.

Examples:
It is best to get a flu vaccine in October or November, so that you are well protected before the start of a typical flu season.
