With identical twin boys, at least I don't have to go through what some of my friends with fraternals do, like when they are asked if their twins are identical, when it is obvious that one is a boy and the other is a girl!
So what's my response when I have the boys out and I'm asked if they are twins? Well, like I said, usually I enjoy the attention and I'm actually not annoyed by the question. If for some reason I'm not in a mood to show off my twins, I just smile and say, 'no, they're clones.'
Other things that you probably shouldn't ask a parent of twins:
- Why do you dress them alike?
- Why don't you dress them alike?
- Do you have a favorite?
- Is one smarter than the other one?
- Your twins are beautiful.
- You are doubly (or triply, etc.) blessed.
- Do they have the same personality?
- How do you tell them apart? (this annoys some people though)
- Do they have their own twin language? (this annoys some people though)
