Guide Review - Eat This Not That! For Kids! Book Review

The advice in Eat This Not That! For Kids! is hardly original. After all, most of the book simply describes information that is already available on the food's own nutrition fact label or in the restaurant's nutrition information list.

What does make the book useful though, like the original Eat This Not That!, is that in addition to teaching you how to actually read nutrition labels, the book shows direct, side-by-side comparisons to illustrate why some foods are healthier than others. For example, you likely already know that MultiGrain Cheerios is a better choice that Cap'n Crunch, but after reading Eat This Not That! For Kids! you will know it is because MultiGrain Cheerios has half the sugar and three times the fiber as Cap'n Crunch.

The book should also reinforce that most food on the Kids' Menu aren't usually that healthy, including things like macaroni & cheese, grilled cheese, and chicken fingers, etc.

It is easy to eat unhealthy foods. Now, with Eat This Not That! For Kids!, it is just as easy to choose healthier foods for your kids to eat.

To make a good book even better, short sections on food allergies and a section for kids would be helpful too.
