Health Observances

Health observances are days, weeks, or months devoted to promoting particular health concerns, such as National Poison Prevention Week, National Autism Awareness Month, National Child Abuse Prevention Month, Sun Safety Week, and National Immunization Awareness Month.

Screen-Free Week 2012
During Screen-Free Week, April 30 to May 6, the Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood urges children, families, schools, etc. to "turn off screens and turn on life."
