New recommendations from the AAP advise that parents should no longer use syrup of ipecac 'routinely as a poison treatment intervention in the home' and that parents should 'safely dispose of the syrup of ipecac currently in their homes.'

Although described by some as a 'huge change' in Pediatrics, I'm not so sure. Do you or did you have syrup of ipecac in your home? Did you ever use it?
