HPV Vaccine
Gardasil has has completed Phase II and III trials and is currently under 'fast-track review' by the FDA, with an Advisory Committee recently unanimously voting that this HPV vaccine is safe and effective and that it should be approved by the FDA for girls and women ages 9 to 26. Final word from the FDA could come as early as next month.
That could mean that teens going in for well child visits this summer could be getting three vaccines, including Gardasil, Boostrix, and Menactra.

So why can’t women over the age of 26 get this?
amen…hurry up
I just got my first round of the HPV vaccine on Tuesday. Only two more shots to go - 2 months from now and 6 months from now. I’m not bothered by needles at all, but it did sting…a lot. And my arm is very sore. I’m glad I have it though. I’m 19 and I’m not sexually active, but that could change. Now I’m just glad that I know I have protection against cervical cancer. Of course, it’s not foolproof, but I did all that I can so far.
Also, I come from a family with a history of both cancer and cancer-scares. I really do understand when the ads say “Tell someone”. Tell everyone you love, because this vaccine can save a life.
Is this another way for Merck to make more money in trying to make this vaccinne mandatory for 6th graders up to 26 years old. Why can’t we make the decision. Is this another scam like vioxx, celebrex, etc, which you found later on caused deaths due to heart attacks brought on by taking these pills. What is the long term effects? When will the drug companies stop stealing our money by brainwashing us to think that we need these drug as false security. Pills are not the answer to everything. Common sense is.
