Hopefully you have already started using sunscreen regularly, as we are well into spring and a lot of sunny weather. In fact, sunscreen isn't just for spring and summer. Your kids get can sunburn in winter too as the sun reflects off snow if you aren't following good sun protection practices.
As we are getting close to summer and kids will be spending more time outside, now can be a good time to get some of your questions about sunscreen answered.
Do you know when to apply and reapply sunscreen?
Do you know which SPF to use?
How much sunscreen should you use and is there any such thing as a healthy tan?
Although most parents use sunscreen, many kids are still walking around with fairly dark tans, usually because they apply sunscreen too late (when they are already outside), don't apply enough sunscreen, or don't reapply it often enough. Remember, there is no such thing as a healthy tan and every sunburn can double your child's risk of developing melanoma when he gets older.
