Dangers of Bath Salts

By January 14, 2012

Follow me on:

We have heard a lot about the dangers of bath salts this past year - as they are being abused as synthetic stimulants to mimic the effects of cocaine and meth, with many alarming effects.

To those effects, which can include extreme paranoia, hallucinations, and suicidal thoughts, can now be added infection with the flesh-eating bacteria. A woman in Louisiana who injected herself with bath salts developed a severe bacterial infection that lead to the amputation of her arm, shoulder, and collarbone.

If you haven't talked to your teens about bath salts before, now might be a good time.
