The FDA and L&M Companies, Inc. are recalling one lot of whole cucumbers because they may be contaminated with Salmonella.
The recalled whole cucumbers were distributed between March 30th and April 7th to wholesalers in New York, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, Nebraska, and Wyoming.
This is a nationwide recall though, and anyone with Nature's Delight cucumbers from lot# PL-RID-002990 should throw them out or return them for a refund.
As in the recent alfalfa sprouts recall, this cucumber recall has not actually been linked to an outbreak of Salmonella. Instead, the bacteria was found during routine tests by the FDA.
There was also a cilantro recall because of concerns about Salmonella a few days ago. Satur Farms recalled 138 pounds of Satur Farms Cilantro that was distributed to non-retail, food service customers in 1/2lb and 1lb bulk bags in New York City and Long Island, New York. The bags had a small white stick-on label with the four digit lot number 6347.

Unfortunately, that information has not been made available.
The distributor, L&M Companies, doesn’t even have any information about the recall on their website.
