Flu Shot Season

Although people are still talking about swine flu and swine flu vaccines, it is important to start thinking about getting a regular, seasonal flu shot already.

While pediatricians used to start giving flu shots later in September and October, this year, the CDC recommends that they begin seasonal flu vaccinations as soon as it is available, even before September. And since some pediatricians have already started receiving their first shipments of flu shots, that may mean that your kids can already start getting vaccinated against the flu.

Why so early? With the possibility of a vaccine program for swine flu beginning in October, it might be a good idea to get your child's seasonal flu shot out of the way.
