Especially in a down economy, looking to save money and practicing frugal parenting can be a great thing. You can often save money by finding used or hand-me-down items for your family, sticking to a budget, and looking for bargains.
There are some things that you simply don't want to skimp on when it comes to your kids though, such as diluting baby formula, as it can affect their health and safety. Buying a used car seat, used baby crib, or skipping out on visits to the dentist or doctor are other things that can be dangerous.
