Photo by Olga Solovei Parents often overlook healthy foods and go straight to what they think are more "kid-friendly foods," such as hot dogs, pizza, french fries, chicken nuggets, juice and soda. Unfortunately, eating too many of those types of foods is likely contributing to the current childhood obesity epidemic.

Review a list of the best foods for kids that are healthy and kids actually like to eat, so that you can avoid many of the high-calorie, high-fat foods and kid-friendly foods that kids often end up eating.

Try a Peanut Butter Smile snadwich. Make a PB&J sandwich, then make a smiley face with Cheese Whiz. Kids love it and moms can make it in 5 minutes! A must try!

I think it’s important to stay away from processed foods, foods with dye, chemicals and additives. I think that the sharp increase we’ve seen in many disorders is due in part to the crap we are feeding our kids.
