Wednesday May 21, 2008

Photo © Vincent Iannelli, MDPink eye is a common disorder that can cause a child's eyes to be red, with tearing, matting or drainage.

Although pink eye can be caused by allergies, irritation, or viral infections, parents are often most familiar with the bacterial type of pink eye, that causes a red eye with matting, or yellow discharge from the corner of the child's eyes.
