
While we are still seeing a low level of flu activity across the United States, flu activity levels are slowly rising. That includes a regional level of flu activity in Texas and local flu activity in six other states.
However, it isn't too late to get a flu shot now, which can still protect your child if he isn't exposed to the flu before the likely peak in flu season later in January or February. Since it takes about two weeks for the flu shot to work, don't put it off too long though.
