Risperdal for Autism

Although not exactly a breakthrough, since many doctors have been using Risperdal off-label for many years, many parents will be reassured to know that the FDA recently approved the use of risperidone or Risperdal orally disintegrating tablets for 'the symptomatic treatment of irritability in autistic children and adolescents' with autism.
