Question of the Week Review a 'problem' of a breastfed infant who is only having bowel movements every five or six days.

My niece had this problem as an infant. Her pediatrician did not recommend anything to her parents or suggest a diagnosis. My niece has been (shortly after birth)and is now (age 8 years) very obese. We have no history of obesity in our family and have always suspected that there is more to her obesity than food intake. I would suggest looking into this and getting a second or third opinion from a specialist.
